As a rule of thumb, to reap benefits, the product should be applied to a 10 cm x 20 cm area of skin each day. The Baby cream could for instance be applied on the child’s back, whereas the Multipurpose cream for adults could be applied to the legs, elbows, arms or other dry areas of skin.

In order for the product to really affect the microbiome and the biodiversity powder to reach its full potential, sufficient amounts need to be included in the product, which affects the colour. However, when applied to the skin, the colour fades and won’t leave the skin looking grey or stain clothing. If your skin is extra sensitive or rough, though, the particles may accumulate/stick to these patches and be more visible.

Microbial extract contains for instance parts of decomposed plants (such as peat or forest soil) and different microbes, microbial segments and microbial compounds with proven immune-boosting effects from forest and agricultural environments. To ensure safety, potential pathogenic microbes have been eliminated and microbes have been inactivated.

The cream can and should be applied directly on to the rash. If the skin is badly broken and bleeding, for example from scratching it is recommended to apply the cream around the ichy area. This helps to balance the microbiota of the skin in the surrounding area. When the skin is a little dry, you can also apply the cream directly to the rash.

Why so? In principle, the cream is not dangerous, even if you put it on broken skin, but in this case the bits of forest microbe extract can cause a slight mechanical irritation, which can feel unpleasant.

In addition to the forest microbe extract, the cream contains very nourishing organic quality ingredients, which contain, among other things, omega fatty acids and vitamin E in its natural form. These speed up the recovery of the skin and also curb local irritation. Organic birch sap moisturises the skin and vegetable oils prevent moisture evaporation from the skin and soften rough skin.

We are often asked if forest dust products can be used while pregnant. The answer is ABSOLUTELY! Forest dust® provides a similar exercise to the resistance through the receptors located in the skin as ordinary forest soil. Forest dust® helps to balance the body's microbiome, and in addition to forest dust, the other ingredients in our creams soothe and strengthen the skin. The omega fatty acids and vitamin E in natural form found in our vegetable oils can speed up the healing of scars and prevent their formation. Our rich Multipurpose cream is especially suitable for treating the skin of the stomach during pregnancy. Apply the cream to the skin of the stomach and at the same time you can gently activate the microcirculation of the skin by lightly pinching the skin. In this way, the cream is absorbed more effectively and can prevent the formation of pregnancy scars.

If skin is chaffed or particularly inflamed, it is possible that the skin’s immune receptors interpret the microbial extract as a threat, causing an unpleasant sensation on the skin. We recommend using the product only on healthy skin. If you suffer from severe allergies, atopic dermatitis or acute skin issues, your microbiome is unbalanced and thus your immune system may produce an exceptional response to almost anything. It is thus possible that your skin initially reacts to the microbial extract or a natural plant extract contained in the product. We recommend treating the problem also internally for example under the guidance of a nutritionist or other expert. All of the ingredients have been carefully considered, so they don’t kill beneficial microbes on the skin. The products do not contain strong synthetic preservatives or silicone that may disturb the microbial balance of the skin. The products are certified natural cosmetics, meaning that at least 95% of the ingredients are organic. We make use of valuable cold-pressed plant oils, which protect the skin and support microbial balance.

Moi Forest products are suitable for everyone! The microbial extract also has preventive and protective effects. If you spend time in the forest on a daily basis in touch with forest soil or work with livestock, your immune system is already getting the strengthening exercise it needs. The products are particularly recommended to people who spend most of their time in urban environments and families with a hereditary predisposition to hypersensitivity.

To reduce the smell of the forest microbe extract, we ended up adding a mild scent to the Multipurpose and Baby creams. The fragrances of our creams are Ecocert Cosmos certified fragrance blends made from the fragrance components of essential oils produced by plants. However, they do not contain individual whole essential oils, but their parts. The scent of the baby cream is hypoallergenic, meaning it does not contain potential fragrance allergens such as citral, limonene and linalool.

Both of our creams are gentle and either cream can also be used on children. The difference is that the composition of the Baby cream is lighter and absorbs faster, so that it would be easier to grease a moving baby or small child. The Baby cream also does not contain almond oil or potential fragrance allergens such as limonene, linalool or citronellol. We recommend Baby cream primarily for children aged 0-3 years and for people suffering from strong hypersensitivity. The Baby cream contains as much microbe extract that affects the connection with nature and the microbiome as the Multipurpose cream, so it is also suitable for sensitive adults.

Multipurpose cream is a richer cream, so it is suitable for use on very dry skin anywhere on the body. Many people also use this richer cream as a nourishing face mask, night cream and hand cream, for example.

Both of our creams have a mild fragrance content and the fragrances are made from essential oils produced by plants.
